UK drum & bass label Viper Recordings team up with the mighty US media giant Bassrush for the fourth year running for Bassrush 4.0, a compilation celebrating the best the genre has to offer on both sides of the Atlantic. Viper have always been a label proud to push the drum & bass sound across the globe, while Bassrush have long been at the forefront of pushing that same sound on their home turf. Hot on the heels of the first sampler which featured tracks from Giganti, DJ Empress, CLB, Blacklab, and Dossa & Locuzzed, the second sampler contains even more fire from more worldwide superstars.

The first track comes from Texas based Flite who has long been at the forefront of pushing drum & bass in the US. ‘Run Away’ is a mysterious, foreboding tune with a cinematic opening and an energetic drop that will take you by surprise. Next up is a new single from half German, half Australian duo Zombie Cats with ‘Before My Eyes’. A gentle opening lures the listener in with elegance and grace before dropping into a funky yet heinous drop that is sure to turn more than a few heads.

Giganti follows up from his track on the first sampler, ‘MAD’, with a new remix for Beat Assassin’s ‘Home Grown’. A wobbly tune in every sense, Giganti puts his signature heavy stamp on this groovy number for a truly memorable result that is unapologetically loud. Long time Viper family and New Zealand native Trei contributes to the sampler with his massive new record ‘Hollywood Surrender’. A classic call-to-adventure, this track is full of charisma and power. Last but not least is ‘Kamino’ from LA-based Kallan HK, a captivating track that packs more than a punch, delivering the grit of neuro with that dancefloor energy for a seriously stunning result.

With another 5 brand new exclusives from artists all across the globe, this second sampler serves as yet another reminder of the diversity of the genre and those involved, and is the perfect celebration of two of bass music’s most influential brands, Viper and Bassrush.
