It’s all been leading to this – the superstar duo out of Adelaide, Australia, are gearing up to release their debut album following years of huge single and EP releases on Viper.
Since joining the label, the duo have exploded on the scene, winning fans over with their electric stage presence, live keytar, both male & female vocals, impressive productions spanning from the intricacies of neurofunk to the elegance of liquid, and beyond – all wrapped up in the V O E package.
Now, arguably their most exciting venture to date, V O E are releasing their debut album on Viper Recordings, Vision of Empire on 21st March 2025.
With singles like “Heavy Heart”, “Edge of the World”, and “Feel Again” already setting the bar high, fans can look forward to x8 more brand new songs on the album. “Not For Me” delivers pop-fueled sing-a-long beats, while “Don’t Leave” showcases the duo’s softer side with gorgeous piano in the mix of Caroline’s vocal prowess.
“Holding On” is another slower number – or so it seems at first. Caroline’s emotive vocals soar through a seemingly gentle opening before dropping into one of the filthiest breakdowns on the album. And on the flipside, “Illusion” wastes no time bringing the energy with a frenzied opening while still bringing just as much emotion through the vocals. Another decimating drop, there is something of a theme throughout the album with V O E and hard-hitting, bass-heavy, explosive DnB drops.
Bringing the calm before the final storm, “Fall Apart” has Tom back on vocals for an enticing, fast-paced number with a seriously naughty drop that will blow heads off all around the world.
“Is It Really Love” brings edgy dancefloor energy to a classic love song, while “Vortex” gives dark and gritty neurofunk goodness. “Patient War” is reminiscent of peak Pendulum with Tom’s vocals on centre stage alongside electric guitar riffs, and “Distance” closes off the album on an emotional note.
Packed full of a range of sounds all at such a masterful level, V O E have done more than impress, and “Vision of Empire” is set to be a future classic on the label, sitting alongside some of the greatest bodies of Drum & Bass work over the last two decades. Be sure to check this one out and enjoy the sounds of V O E’s career culmination to date, only on Viper.
