Sharing a title with the aptly named EP, “Down on the Dancefloor” is the third and final single rounding off the debut EP from Deep Notion. With the first two singles “Right All Along” and “Give It To Me” with Captain Bass setting the bar high enough already, Deep Notion certainly doesn’t disappoint with this third and final installment.

As the name might suggest, “Down on the Dancefloor” is classic dancefloor DnB through and through – something of a huge sound in Deep Notion’s native New Zealand at the moment, and an integral part of the Viper sound since day one. However, Deep Notion delivers something of a twist as the build up to the drop picks up the pace in a dramatic way, seamlessly infusing elements of techno and other genres for a definitive DJ weapon.

Summoning images of laserbeams and fog machines, “Down on the Dancefloor” teleports the listener to the heart of the rave, paying homage to the classic dancefloor sound while adding outside influences that make it a memorable tune to say the least. Altogether, the Down on the Dancefloor EP is a strong end to what has been another massive year for Drum & Bass and for Viper – stay tuned for more in 2024!
